Description
A family session looking at what causes anxiety, how to spot the signs and how to support your child through it. Together we will make a breathing stick and a worry doll.
PLEASE NOTE, THIS PARTICULAR SESSION IS FOR PARENTS/CARERS OF CHILDREN WHO ATTEND RYEDENE PRIMARY & NURSERY SCHOOL ONLY. If your child does not attend this school, don't worry! We have similar sessions in other locations, please check out our website!
What s this course about?
This course will help you understand what anxiety is and how you can help your child to manage this.
Who is the course for?
This course is for parents/carers and grandparents of children living in Essex.
What can I expect to learn?
You will have an understanding of how you can help your child manage their anxiety. You will be given strategies on how to discuss this and support your child as well.
How will I learn?
The sessions will be facilitated by the tutor in an informal and relaxed environment.
How will I know how well I am doing?
You will be given tutor feedback at the end of each task. The tutor will work with you to support you with any individual issues that you may be experiencing.
Will I have to do any work at home ?
You will be given exercises to try out at home.
What will I need to provide?
All resources and materials will be provided for you.
