This course is live online with an experienced Life Coach. Situations arise at work where we are often challenged. Do you find it difficult to say no, or have your voice heard? Do you feel overpowered by certain kinds of personalities or feel low in confidence in certain situations? This course will guide you through some practical and powerful tools that you can immediately start practising to raise your own levels of self-empowerment and to communicate more confidently and effectively.

What Qualification/level is this course?
This course is for personal development and does not lead to a qualification.

Who is this course for?
Anyone who has had or is experiencing challenges in the work place with keeping assertive, confident and communicating openly and honestly about their needs. This is a chance to heal past ‘situations’ and learn from them and be better equipped to deal with any possible future challenges regarding assertiveness.

What can I expect to learn?
What assertiveness is and what it isn’t; Develop a greater awareness of your own patterns; How to use ‘negative’ experiences to learn and grow; Learn assertiveness techniques; Explore the topic of keeping healthy boundaries; Begin to apply techniques to your everyday work life.

How will I learn?
Tutor presentations, group discussions, journal self-reflections and personal research. Sessions will be interactive and equip participants with a range of tools for immediate application in their own lives and with others in their personal or professional life. The course will take place live online, in a virtual classroom, facilitated by a tutor. Sessions will be interactive with video and audio for tutor presentations, group discussion, group and individual activities.

How will I know how well I am doing?
There will be opportunities during the session to discuss your progress with your tutor and fellow learners and receive constructive developmental feedback to support you in achieving the most from the course. You will be encouraged to reflect on what you have learnt and provide us with feedback.

Will I need to do any work at home?
Tools and strategies learnt will be ready to apply and practise in your life.

What will I need to provide?
You will need a laptop or PC with webcam and microphone, internet connection, an email address and be able to access websites. A notepad and pen.
