This online self-study course is a key starting point for anyone looking for an introduction to climate change and it causes. It will support learners who are seeking understanding climate change and perhaps progress their knowledge within the area. This is a knowledge only qualification. Work/industry placement experience is not required. This qualification is designed to provide learners with an introduction to the principles of climate change and environmental awareness.

What can I expect to learn?
This qualification is designed to provide learners with an introduction to the principles of climate change and environmental awareness. It will ensure learners understand the nature of climate change and the role they can play in helping to reduce carbon emissions. There are three units: Understand Climate Change, Sustainability and Environmental Protection (K/618/0572) Understand Industry and the Environment (M/618/0573) Understand Resource Efficiency and Waste Management (T/618/0574)

How will I learn?
Your online self-paced course is provided to you through e-learning workbooks. You will have the support of a tutor if required. There are 3 mandatory units.

How will I know how well I am doing?
Tutor will give feedback as appropriate throughout the course to help you gauge your progress. This qualification is internally assessed and externally quality assured. The assessment consists of one component: an internally assessed portfolio of evidence which is assessed by centre staff and externally quality assured by NCFE.

Will I have to do any work at home?
This is an online self-study course. You will ahve access to e-learing workbooks and you will worked throught the required units at your own pace. Your tutor will be monitoring your progress and ensure that you are completing assessments of your knowledge and understanding.

What will I need to provide?
You will need access to a laptop or PC with audio and webcam facility, internet connection and Google Chrome browser, an email address and be able to access websites. Notepad and pen for note taking.
