Description

This course provides a flexible learning opportunity to update, increase or refresh your knowledge of the software within Microsoft Office. This will be a 6-week course which can be started at anytime throughout the academic year following a check on your existing skills.

What Qualification/level is this course?
This course does not lead to a qualification and is for personal development.

Who is the course for?
This course is for learners who require basic and/or intermediate level skills in using the various Microsft Office software applications. These skills may be useful for those seeking employment, increasing confidence in use of MS Office software applications within existing employment.

What can I expect to learn?
You can select either Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Databases,and Outlook. Your start date is flexible and you can agree your start date at the assessement session. The course can be started at any point in the academic year. You can attend face to face classes in our centres, or join an online class. The online classes are live and are held on MS Teams for Education.

How will I learn?
Teaching methods will include the use of digital devices in our IT suites incorporating a variety of individual and group activites.

How will I know how well I am doing?
Your tutor will give you feedback on activities and tasks undertaken. Individual learning outcomes will be agreed at the beginning of the course, taking into account the course aims and your aspirations. These will be reviewed with you at regular intervals and you will be encouraged to reflect on your own learning and record your feedback in your Individual Learning Plan.

Will I have to do any work at home?
You will be encouraged to spend time practising to improve your knowledge and confidence.

What will I need to provide?
As a learner with us, you will have access to the online version of Office 365. Please note that the online version may have features that differ from desktop versions you have previously used. Technical support can be found at www.aclessex.com/tech-sup-office-365

Are there any other costs?
No, however your tutor may recommend further reading, research and/or websites for further independent exploratory learning.
