Description

This is the third of a suite of 3 workshops looking at all the basic start up information you will need to start up your business. This workshop runs in conjunction with starting and marketing your own business.

What Qualification/level is this course?
This course does not lead to a qualification and is for personal development.

Who is the course for?
Have you ever wanted to start yor own business? This one day workshop will give you information on the basic concepts of running your own business

What can I expect to learn?
What do you need to do to run your business? You will learn about the following being given opportunities to brainstorm your ideas Record Keeping Bookkeeping requirements HRMC & expenses Working from Home Finances and tecnology Staffing

How will I learn?
Your tutor will use a number of different teaching methods to develop your skills. These will include a wide range of authentic materials, individual study, working in pairs/group activities and will include the use of video/audio. You will also have the opportunity to use online learning technologies to develop your skills.

How will I know how well I am doing?
Your tutor will give you feedback on classroom activities and tasks undertaken. Individual learning outcomes will be agreed at the beginning of the course, taking into account the course aims and your aspirations. These will be reviewed with you at regular intervals and you will be encouraged to reflect on your own learning and record your feedback in your Individual Learning Plan.

Will I have to do any work at home?
Home study is optional; but you will be encouraged to work away from the course to develop your skills and get the most from your course.

What will I need to provide?
Pen paper and enthusiasm!

Are there any other costs?
No, however your tutor may recommend further reading, research and/or websites for further independent exploratory learning.
