A Parent's Guide to Separation Anxiety is a supportive, practical course designed for parents and carers of early years and primary-aged children who find goodbyes challenging. Together, we'll explore why separation anxiety happens, what it looks like at different ages, and how you can respond in ways that build security, confidence and resilience. You'll leave with simple, reassuring strategies to help your child feel safe during transitions—whether it's nursery drop?off, school mornings or time spent with other trusted adults.
What is this course about?
An adults only course to support you, and assist you with understanding your children. This course will be delivered in person.
Who is the course for?
Parents/carers and grandparents of school aged children living in Essex.
What can I expect to learn?
Tips and strategies on making parenting as stress free as possible.
How will I learn?
This course is being in person. The sessions will be facilitated by the tutor in an informal and relaxed environment.
How will I know how well I am doing?
You will be given tutor feedback at the end of each task. The tutor will work with you to support you with any individual issues that you may be experiencing.
Will I have to do any work at home?
There will be tasks set to do with your child and then to report back to your tutor.
What will I need to provide?
Just yourself.
