What Will Happen At My First Lesson
The first week of your course will include Study Skills tips which will give you the opportunity to discover the best way that you can learn and fully understand the requirements of the course. The tutor will also explain the course structure, what you will learn and requirements of the qualification.

Qualification Aim/Level
This is a Level 2 course. You must undertake an initial assessment prior to enrolling on this course. If you are unable to attend on the IT Pre Course Assessment dates shown, please leave your contact details at the relevant centre and the tutor will call you to arrange a mutually convenient time.

Who is this course for?
This course is for those who require a qualification at Level 2 for Word Processing and Spreadsheet skills. If you are looking for work, or a change in job role, this qualification can enhance your CV.

What can I expect to learn?
You will develop your skills in Word to prepare, prdcess and produce a wide range of documents. You will also learn how to produce spreadsheets using advance formulae and functions.

How will I learn?
Your tutor will use a number of different teaching methods to develop your skills. These will include a wide range of authentic materials, individual study, working in pairs/group activities and will include the use of video/audio. You will also have the opportunity to use online learning technologies to develop your skills.

How will I know how well I am doing?
Tutors will monitor your development of new skills and provide regular feedback.

Will I need to do extra work at Home?
Learners undertaking an IT Qualification will be expected to complete at least three hours homework each week. It is always beneficial to practice what you have learnt between sessions.

What will I need to provide?
In order to enrol on your chosen course please bring the following to your initial assesment: Evidence of any prior qualifications National Insurance number- If in receipt of a state benefit and wish to apply for a reduction in the fees Passport if you have not been resident in the UK/EAA for the past 3 years. Proof of ID (Passport or photo driving licence) for award body registration. The tutor will advise you of anything else you need to provide but you may find it useful to bring a notepad and pen for making notes and a USB memory stick for saving work. As a learner with us, you will have access to the online version of Office 365. Please note that the online version may have features that differ from desktop versions you have previously used.
