Confidence building is an area of self-development we all need to address for a variety of reasons. Self-confidence is about having faith in yourself and this workshop is designed to support you in developing your self-confidence so that you can build your self-esteem and be prepared to meet new people, overcome nerves, increase public speaking skills and have a more positive attitude towards your personal and professional growth.

What Qualification/level is this course?
There is no formal qualification attached to this workshop. You will learn the fundamentals of how to build your confidence

Who is the course for?
For those who would like to build their confidence on a personal level and develop their skills, to enhance their opportunities to gain employment.

What can I expect to learn?
Key characteristics and skills included in emotional intelligence and how using this intelligence model can encourage you to promote yourself when applying for a job and attending interviews. Techniques to develop self confidence, overcome nerves and build self-esteem. Basic techniques to support public speaking.

How will I learn?
Your tutor will use a number of different teaching and learning methods, for example; Verbal instructions and explanations, One to one support and feedback, Question and Answers, Discussion, Handouts, Power Point presentations

How will I know how well I am doing?
Your tutor will monitor progress throughout the session by observing interaction and activities, asking questions and giving verbal feedback.

Will I have to do any work at home?
We recommend you embed the techniques learnt into your everyday life.

What will I need to provide?
You will need to have access to Microsoft Teams and be able to install the programme onto your computer or phone. Your computer/phone must have a camera and microphone facility. Pen and paper/pad for taking notes.

Are there any other costs?
No, however your tutor may recommend further reading, research and/or websites for further independent exploratory learning.
