This session is designed to give you a much better understanding of the potential formats and content of interviews and the various assessment activities that could be used. By developing your knowledge and skills in this area, will enable you to make a good first impression, act confidently and be prepared at interviews.

What Qualification/level is this course?
There is no formal qualification attached to this workshop.

Who is the course for?
For those who would like to build their confidence and self-esteem and develop their skills and knowledge to enable them to better prepare for and attend interviews.

What can I expect to learn?
Potential formats and content of interviews. Various assessment activities used by employments. Confidence building techniques. Basic interpersonal and communication skills that should be used during an interview e.g. Creating a positive first impression, providing clear and concise answers.

How will I learn?
Your tutor will use a number of different teaching and learning methods, for example; Verbal instructions and explanations, One to one support and feedback, Question and Answers, Discussion, Handouts, Power Point presentations

How will I know how well I am doing?
Your tutor will monitor progress throughout the session by observing interaction and activities, asking questions and giving verbal feedback.

Will I have to do any work at home?
We recommend you embed the techniques learnt, when attending assessment and interviews.

What will I need to provide?
You will need to have access to Microsoft Teams and be able to install the programme onto your computer or phone. Your computer/phone must have a camera and microphone facility. Pen and paper/pad for taking notes.

Are there any other costs?
No, however your tutor may recommend further reading, research and/or websites for further independent exploratory learning.
