This course is live online with an experienced Life Coach. Emotional Intelligence (otherwise known as EQ – Emotional Quotient) features very highly on the list of top skills present and future employers are seeking. This course will guide you through the main principles involved in emotional intelligence and will give you tools and techniques to tap into, learn and activate a range of sub-skills associated with the subject. Developing greater emotional intelligence will help towards making you not only more effective in all you do but will help to develop a happier experience of being yourself in any situation both at work and in life.

This course is for personal development and does not lead to a qualification.

Anyone who wants to fine tune their own emotional intelligence skills or who has an interest in developing greater effectiveness and resilience in the workplace. A great idea to brush up and work with like-minded people for a boost in your own confidence, peace of mind and fulfilment.

What can I expect to learn?
In this powerful and inspirational course, you will learn the definition and elements of emotional intelligence; Take the emotional intelligence quiz and receive personalised feedback; Strategies for developing greater self-awareness; How to self-regulate and self-motivate more effectively; How to develop and use empathy appropriately in the workplace; Learn how to positively relieve stress and be more resilient; Taking your interpersonal skills to the next level – higher level communication skills.

How will I learn?
Tutor presentations, group discussions, journal self-reflections and personal research. Sessions will be interactive and equip participants with a range of tools for immediate application in their own lives and with others in their personal or professional life. The course will take place live online, in a virtual classroom, facilitated by a tutor. Sessions will be interactive with video and audio for tutor presentations, group discussion, group and individual activities.

How will I know how well I am doing?
There will be opportunities during the session to discuss your progress with your tutor and fellow learners and receive constructive developmental feedback to support you in achieving the most from the course. You will be encouraged to reflect on what you have learnt and provide us with feedback.

Will I need to do any work at home?
Tools and strategies learnt will be ready to apply and practise in your life.

What will I need to provide?
You will need a laptop or PC with webcam and microphone, internet connection, an email address and be able to access websites. A notepad and pen.
