In today's modern world, where technology plays such a prevalent role in our daily lives, it is crucial to be mindful of how our digital habits can affect our wellbeing. Excessive screen time, social media addiction, and constantly being plugged in can lead to feelings of stress, anxiety, and even affect our sleep patterns. Learn how to create a healthy balance between the benefits of digital technology and your physical and mental wellbeing.

What can I expect to Learn?
Digital wellbeing refers to the overall state of an individual's mental and physical health in relation to their digital presence. In this course you will learn some practical steps to create a balance between your virtual and physical presence, including how to set boundaries with technology use, take regular breaks from screens, and practice mindfulness when engaging with digital devices. You will explore what your digital habits are and how this affects your mood. How to remain safe online and what are the risks when engaging with the online world. Weighing up the benefits and disadvantages with the way you engage digitally and how to self identify what is healthy for you.
How will I learn?
This course is live online, with tutor and group meeting in a virtual classroom. A range of teaching and learning activities including tutor presentations and group and individual discussion and activities, reference to online resources.
How will I know how well I am doing?
Tutor feedback, evaluation activities and self-reflection will enable you to understand your progress. Assessment will be on-going throughout the course linked to an individual learning plan to be regularly updated with learner and tutor feedback.
Will I need to do extra work at home?
Yes you will be encouraged to reflect on your learning each week to develop skills. Learning resources and internet links to further information supports learning between sessions.
What will I need to provide?
Internet connection, up to date operating system and internet browser software.
A notepad and pen for notetaking.
