This course will provide a basic level of training in Online Safety

Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for those who would like understand how to keep themselves and their information safe online.

What can I expect to learn?
Staying safe online is extremely important in this digital age. You will learn how to use strong and unique passwords for each of your accounts. This can help prevent hackers from accessing your personal information. You will also learn how and why it is also important to be cautious about the information that you share online, especially on social media platforms.The course will also show you how to identify scam emails and malware.

How will I learn?
The classroom based learning will be a mixture of demonstrations, discussions and lots of hands on practice using the devices in our IT suites. There will an experienced tutor to help and guide you at all times.

How will I know how well I am doing?
You will undertake tasks and receive feedback on your results. Feedback may be verbal or written. You will record your progress on an individual learning plan.

Will I need to do extra work at Home?
No homework will be set but it is highly recommended that all new skills are put into practice outside of the class.

What will I need to provide?
You will need a notepad and pen for making notes. As a learner with us, you will have access to the online version of Office 365.
