This course will provide a basic understanding in how to shop safely online.

Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for those who would like understand how to shop safely online.

What can I expect to learn?
Staying safe online is extremely important in this digital age. During our course you will learn how to set up accounts with online retailers. This could be food shops, general shopping or sites for pre-loved selling such as Ebay. You will gain confidence to shop online safely and will raise awareness of the signs to look out for if it isn't a trusted or safe website.

How will I learn?
The classroom based learning will be a mixture of demonstrations, discussions and lots of hands on practice using the devices in our IT suites. There will an experienced tutor to help and guide you at all times.

How will I know how well I am doing?
You will undertake tasks and receive feedback on your results. Feedback may be verbal or written. You will record your progress on an individual learning plan.

Will I need to do extra work at Home?
No homework will be set but it is highly recommended that all new skills are put into practice outside of the class.

What will I need to provide?
You will need a notepad and pen for making notes. As a learner with us, you will have access to the online version of Office 365.
