Description

Create bespoke displays including modern and advanced techniques including hand-tied bouquets, floral designs for all occasions, wedding and sympathy work as well as presentation and gift wrapping. Ideal for learners who have some experience of floristry and want to explore new terms and evolving concepts. Please note new learners will complete an assessment and study skills at the course.

What Will Happen At My First Lesson
At the start of the course new learners will complete an assessment and study skills to support in achieving the qualification. You will learn about the course content and resources.

This qualification does not have a written exam as the qualification is achieved by the completion and submission of a digital portfolio.

What Qualification/level is this course?
This course leads to a nationally recognised NCFE Level 2 Award in Creative Craft. Please note your certificate will not list Floristry as the subject studied. ACL can provide an additional certificate to confirm floristry as the specialised subject studied.

Who is the course for?
This course is for those who have completed the Level 1 Award in Creative Craft or have some experience in the industry.

What can I expect to learn?
You will develop and adapt ideas creatively by exploring a range of practical floristry techniques. Learn the principles and elements of design. Create, present and evaluate floristry items. Create a digital pottfolio to present your work.

How will I learn?
You will learn through group interaction, presentation, discussion, demonstration, individual work and critiquing.

How will I know how well I am doing?
You will be encouraged to reflect on your learning through regular assessments and feedback from your tutor.

Will I have to do any work at home ?
Additional study is encouraged throughout the course to enable you to get the most from your learning with ACL.

What will I need to provide?
You will need to provide your own flowers and foliage throughout the course. Your tutor will advise you of resources required at the assessment session and throughout the course.

Are there any other costs?
You will need provide your own resources. Costs are kept as low as possible dependent on projects chosen. You may qualify for support with the cost of your resources. Please speak to customer services or visit the services for more information.
