This course requires you to complete a portfolio of written assignments to evidence your knowledge.
Your course work will be assessed consistently throughout the programme by your Tutor. Your portfolio of course work will also be moderated by an Internal Quality Assurer to ensure that your work meets the standards of the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) before a Certificate can be claimed.
Who is the course for?
This qualification is suitable if you have management responsibilities but no formal training and would like to develop your abilities, build confidence and upskill. It is particularly suited to practising team leaders seeking to move up to the next level of management.

How will I learn?
Your tutor will use a number of different teaching and learning methods, for example verbal instructions and explanations, one to one discussions with question and answers and computer-based research. You will also recieve verbal and written feedback and guidance.
How will I know how well I am doing?
Your tutor will monitor your progress throughout the course during monthly one to one phone calls or Teams meetings and by marking and assessing submitted work via an online platform. You will receive verbal and written feedback and guidance to enable you to measure your own achievement, progress and areas for development.
Your tutor will regularly set you targets to keep you on track with learning, to enable you to complete the course in a timely manner.
Will I have to do work at home?
We recommend at least 4 hours a week to complete research and complete asignments.
This course will take between 12 to 14 months to complete.
What will I need to provide?
Pen and paper/pad for taking notes during your one to one calls
Access to a computer to complete work, to access the online learning platform, Learning Assistant and the communication platform,Teams.
