These sessions offer Microsoft Office training in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and file sharing.

This course is for those wishing to increase or their Microsoft Office skills.
Learn how to confidently use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and file management. You will also become more efficient using 365 and Teams.

How will I learn?
The classroom based learning will be a mixture of demonstrations, discussions and lots of hands on practice using the devices in our IT suites. There will an experienced tutor to help and guide you at all times.
How will I know how well I am doing?
You will undertake tasks and receive feedback on your results. Feedback may be verbal or written. You will record your progress on an individual learning plan.
Will I need to do extra work at Home?
Learners undertaking an IT Qualification will be expected to complete at least three hours homework each week. It is always beneficial to practice what you have learnt between sessions.
What will I need to provide?
In order to enrol on your chosen course please bring the following to your initial assesment:
Evidence of any prior qualifications
National Insurance number- If in receipt of a state benefit and wish to apply for a reduction in the fees
Passport if you have not been resident in the UK/EAA for the past 3 years.
Proof of ID (Passport or photo driving licence) for award body registration.
The tutor will advise you of anything else you need to provide but you may find it useful to bring a notepad and pen for making notes and a USB memory stick for saving work.
As a learner with us, you will have access to the online version of Office 365. Please note that the online version may have features that differ from desktop versions you have previously used.

Are there any other costs?
You will be given access to online courseware for your learning. If you would like to use additional/alternative resources you can purchase a book for each unit and bring these to the sessions. Please ask your tutor for details.
Depending on individual circustances you may be required to pay re-sit fees for any failed assessments of the IT Qualification (ICDL).
