Description
This course is designed to help you build the core skills and knowledge around a variety of warehouse tasks to support better and safer practice within the warehousing environment. A warehousing environment could range from a large multi-location operation using MHE to a small one room service.

Typical duration to gateway - 12 months
EPA - takes up to 3 months.
Occupation Profile
As a supply chain warehouse Operative, you will be employed in a role to provide goods handling and storage processes. This role could be found working in a range of environments e.g. in Logistics, Retail, Manufacturing, Automotive, Construction, Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Sectors as well as more specialised areas such as the MOD.
An employee in this occupation will be responsible for fulfilling the duties in compliance with legislation and organizational policies and procedures, as well as interacting with colleagues within the warehouse/ stock management environment and reporting to their supervisor.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must:
Achieve the required level of Maths and English as part of the apprenticeship if a recognised qualification is not already held
Be employed and have the support of their employer to undertake the programme
Commitment
Mandatory off the job training hours must be carried out each week. These hours will be calculated, based on the individuals contract size. A maximum of 6 hours a week will need be carried by those working a 30+ hour week.
A minimum of one monthly meeting with an allocated tutor who will guide and support learners on a one to one basis, and the tutor will monitor individual progress and set appropriate learning activities and set SMART targets. These meetings may take place over Microsoft Teams or in the workplace.
Learners will build a portfolio of evidence, comprising of knowledge, skills and behaviours. Work will be assessed and marked.
Delivery
Our blended approach means that our programmes are flexible and enable apprentices to experience a range of learning and support opportunities in a variety of formats.
The apprentice will have a dedicated tutor who they will meet (online or face to face) a minimum of once a month, who will guide them through their apprenticeship and prepare them for their End Point Assessment.
Reviews of progress are carried out every 12 weeks with the learner, their line manager and the tutor.
