What's this course about?
On this adult only course, have an opportunity to practice your speaking and listening skills while connecting with others in the local community. The course will help you to develop your English language ability and learn practical cooking skills.

Who is the course for?
This course is for adults only whose English is a second language.

What can I expect to learn?
You will find out about lots of meals and traditional English recipes, and you can try cooking these whilst practising your English conversation skills.

How will I learn?
All sessions are informal and will include practical tasks to try and complete. The session will be facilitated by the tutor in an informal and relaxed environment.

How will I know how well I am doing?
You will be given tutor feedback at the end of each task. The tutor will work with you to help you to think about your progress and decide on points where you may need more practice.

Will I have to do any work at home?
Generally, there is no requirement for any work at home, but you may want to practice skills learnt. Some courses may require extra activities and reflections from home, but this will be discussed further during your first session with the tutor.

What will I need to provide?
A pen and paper if you want to take away some of the recipes to try at home.

Are there any other costs?
There are no extra costs associated with this course.

What can I do next?
When you finish the course we will provide you with details about what programmes you can move on to next.
