Introducing the Qualification
This qualification is designed for anyone who wants to gain a deeper understanding of the role of a mentor and develop the skills needed to become an effective mentor.
The objectives of this qualification are to:
1. Gain insight into the role and practice of mentorship
2. Be clear about mentor/mentee relationships
3. Ensure they follow good practice
4. Develop the specific skills and understanding they will require in order to mentor
5. Reflect on their own learning and work performance
6. Understand the benefits of mentoring
7. Understand legal and ethical mentoring requirements.
Duration
This course runs for just over 4 months.
Delivery methods
An assessor will be assigned to support the learner through the qualification. There will be online workshop sessions held on the 17 April, 15 May, 19 June and 17 July to support the learner to develop the knowledge and understanding to build their portfolio.
Are there any costs?
There are no other costs in addition to the course fee. You may be eligible for government support with fees which will be identified upon application.
