Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who would like to develop their textiles skills sustainably through the development of skills and knowlede.

What can I expect to learn?
You will learn about the fundamentals of textiles as a craft skill through exploration of different techniques using a broad range of fabrics and materials. You will be encouraged to experiment with recycled materials to maintain a low impact on the environment and expand understanding of repurposing. By the end of this workshop you will be equipt to produce your own stunning textile projects. .

How will I know how I am progressing?
You will negotiate and agree your personal projects and receive ongoing feedback from your tutor and peers to support your development.

Will I have any homework?
Your tutor will be encouraged to practise the skills learnt in sessions and undertake further research.

What will I need to provide?
Please bring to the first session a notepad and a pen and pencil. Your tutor will advise you if you are required to purchase any other materials and you are advised not to make expensive purchases prior to the course start. Please note that where possible recycled and environmentally friendly materials will be used for this course and we advise you to repurpose household items where possible.
