Who is the course for?
This course is for learners interested in 3d printing. No previous experience necessary
What can I expect to learn?
You will learn about the use of 3D printing in various creative media disciplines such as television, film, music, and more. You'll explore CAD design programmes and understand how 3D printed models enhance different types of media products. You'll experiment with materials and processes to develop ideas for a 3D printed model that meets a design brief. Finally, you'll create and review a 3D printed model, gathering feedback and assessing how well it meets the brief.
How will I learn?
The classroom based learning will be a mixture of demonstrations, discussions and lots of hands on practice using the devices in our IT suites. There will an experienced tutor to help and guide you at all times.
How will I know how well I am doing?
Your tutor will give feedback as appropriate throughout the course to help you gauge your progress. Feedback may be verbal or written. You will record your progress on an individual learning plan.
Will I have to do any work at home ?
No homework will be set but it is highly recommended that all new skills are put into practice outside of the class.
What will I need to provide?
