What Qualification/level is this course?
This is a Level 1 course. You must undertake an initial assessment prior to enrolling on this course. If you are unable to attend on the IT Pre Course Assessment dates shown, please leave your contact details at the relevant centre and the tutor will call you to arrange a mutually convenient time.

Who is the course for?
This course is for ESOL learners wishing to gain a digital skills qualification. .

What can I expect to learn?
The Essential Digital Skills qualifications cover five key areas: device use, creating/editing, communicating, transacting, and online safety. Learners gain vital skills for life and work, such as making appointments, ordering goods, organising payments, conducting video calls, and troubleshooting device issues.

How will I learn?
The classroom based learning will be a mixture of demonstrations, discussions and lots of hands on practice using the devices in our IT suites. There will an experienced tutor to help and guide you at all times.

How will I know how well I am doing?
Your tutor will give feedback as appropriate throughout the course to help you gauge your progress. Feedback may be verbal or written. You will record your progress on an individual learning plan.

Will I have to do any work at home ?
No homework will be set but it is highly recommended that all new skills are put into practice outside of the class.

What will I need to provide?
"You will need a notepad and pen for making notes. As a learner with us, you will have access to the online version of Office 365.
