This course will help you to understand the Maths curriculum in schools and how you can support your child with their learning
What is this course about?
An opportunity to spend some time learning about Maths and how you can explore this at home together with your child. It will focus on your child's ability to use the tools they have learnt at school in everyday life and how you can use things you do at home to support their maths terminology and understanding.
Who is the course for?
Parents/carers and grandparents of primary school aged children living in Essex.
What can I expect to learn?
We will explore and develop topics that are covered on the Primary Numeracy Curriculum and how you can make this fun for your child at home.
How will I learn?
This course is being run online. The sessions will be facilitated by the tutor in an informal and relaxed environment.
How will I know how well I am doing?
You will be given tutor feedback at the end of each task. The tutor will work with you to support you with any individual issues that you may be experiencing.
Will I have to do any work at home?
This course will give you ideas of other fun activities you do at home together as a family.
What will I need to provide?
A device suitable for accessing Microsoft Teams for online courses.
