Communication is key! As parents of teenagers we often find ourselves frustrated with the level of communication we can have with our teenagers. Sometimes it seems one sided or every time there is a conversation it seems to lead to an argument or frustration. You are not alone. This workshop will give you tips and strategies to help you communicate more effectively with your teenager and enable them to open up to you more.
What is this course about?
A course to support you and understand your teenagers and provide parenting support. This is a LIVE interactive course so you will need to log on at the given time to access the course.
Who is the course for?
Parents/carers and grandparents of school aged children living in Essex.
What can I expect to learn?
Tips and strategies on making parenting as stress free as possible. Living with teens can be confusing and challenging. We are here to help you understand why teens behave they way they do, how their brains are developing and what strategies will work at this age.
How will I learn?
This course is being run online. The sessions will be facilitated by the tutor in an informal and relaxed environment.
How will I know how well I am doing?
You will be given tutor feedback at the end of each task. The tutor will work with you to support you with any individual issues that you may be experiencing.
Will I have to do any work at home?
There will be tasks set to do with your child and then to report back to your tutor.
What will I need to provide?
A device suitable for accessing Microsoft Teams for online courses.
