Once completed, you will have the solid foundation skills to progress onto other Digital Courses.
What can I expect to learn?
In this course, you'll understand computer basics, explore operating systems, master navigation, and secure login practices. Improve typing, differentiate browsers and search engines, conduct effective searches, shop safely online, fill forms, troubleshoot issues, and learn email etiquette and scam identification.
How will I learn?
The classroom based learning will be a mixture of demonstrations, discussions and lots of hands on practice using the devices in our IT suites. There will an experienced tutor to help and guide you at all times.
How will I know how well I am doing?
Your tutor will give feedback as appropriate throughout the course to help you gauge your progress. Feedback may be verbal or written. You will record your progress on an individual learning plan.
Will I have to do any work at home ?
No homework will be set but it is highly recommended that all new skills are put into practice outside of the class.
What will I need to provide?
