The 2-Week Intensive Back to Work Course is designed to provide individuals with the essential skills and knowledge needed to re-enter the workforce confidently. This course aims to enhance employability by focusing on practical skills, personal development, and job search strategies.

What Qualification/level is this course?
Learners will undertake the City and Guilds Intro Award in Employability Skills that can be added to their CV on successful completion and achievement of the qualification.

Who is this course for?
Anyone in-between jobs or who is considering a job/career change.

What can I expect to learn?
The 2 week programme entails: Week 1 Day 1 Digital job search skills Day 2 Intensive Back to Work programme Developing Resilience Day 3 Procrastination And Time Management Week 2 Day 1 Digital job search skills Day 2 Personal Presentation and interview skills Day 3 Careers Advice and Guidance

How will I learn?
Tutor presentation, group discussion, ideas, peer and tutor feedback and personal research. Sessions will be interactive and equip participants with a range of tools for immediate application in searching for suitable employment to meet their personal and professional aspirations.

How will I know how well I am doing?
Learners will receive feedback verbally throughout each session. An ILP will be used to record feedback from the tutor where learners will also be invited to record their own reflections on their progress and achievements.

Will I need to do any work at home?
Learners will be encouraged to continue research outside the session times and undertake prepared assignments.

What will I need to provide?
You will need a notepad and pen. The course will take place within one of ACL's IT suites, however it is also advisable to have a laptop, PC or digital tablet with internet connection to be able to access suggested websites and an email address.
