What Qualification/level is this course?
The Level 2 Certificate in Mental Health Awareness is aimed at understanding mental health in the context of social care. The focus to raise awareness of mental health. Learners will develop an understanding for the range of conditions and associated symptoms.
Who is this course for?
This qualification is designed for learners wishing to develop their understanding for the components to attain a qualification in understanding mental health.

Understanding postnatal depression
Understanding bipolar disorder

An online course where learners will also be asked to carry out research and reflection for the subject area and will be directed to online tools and reputable websites. Learners must
successfully demonstrate their achievement of all learning outcomes of the units.

Will I need to do any work at home?
Learners will be expected to undertake independent study to complete research, reading and home study. Learners should allow at least 8 - 10 hours each week for this.
There will be an expectation for learners to achieve the qualification within 6 months.
What will I need to provide?
Learners will need to have access to a computer or device to enable them to access the online platform, and to complete any relevant evidence. Learners will need a device to enable tutor contact and engage in online learning.
