Who is this course for?
This qualification is designed for anyone who wants to gain a deeper understanding of the role of a mentor and develop the skills needed to become an effective mentor.
What will I learn?
The objectives of this qualification are to:
1. Gain insight into the role and practice of mentorship
2. Be clear about mentor/mentee relationships
3. Ensure they follow good practice
4. Develop the specific skills and understanding they will require in order to mentor
5. Reflect on their own learning and work performance
6. Understand the benefits of mentoring
7. Understand legal and ethical mentoring requirements.
How will I learn?
A tutor will be assigned to support you throughout the qualification, through one to one meetings. During these meetings,you will develop your knowledge and skills of a mentor, which will enable you to put your learniing into practice, as you carry out mentoring sessions with your chosen Mentee. You will also be required to complete written work, which your tutor will mark and then provide you with written and verbal feedback.
Are there any costs?
There are no other costs in addition to the course fee. You may be eligible for government support with fees which will be identified upon application.

Will I have to do amy work at home?
This is a flexible learning course, designed to fit in around work and or home life.
We advise that you will need to commit atleast 4 hours a weeks to your studies.
How will I be assessed ?
Your Tutor will consistently assess your knowledge through written work, questioning and discussions. Your tutor will regularly feedback on your progres and provide you with both written and verbal feedback.You will agree targets with your tutor to ensure that you stay on track to complete the course timely.
What will I need to provide?
You will need access to a computer so that you can access learning resources and so you can type up your course work, before uploading to our preferred online portal. You will also need acccess to Teams to enable you to have face time one to one meetings with your tutor.
You will also need pens/paper to take notes during meetings and when carrying out research.
Please speak to your tutor before purchasing any reading material.
What can I do once I have finished the course?
The Level 3 Cerificate in Coaching and Mentoring or you may wish to discuss an Apprenticeship route.
