Description
A Story Sack session is a fun and interactive way to bring stories to life for families
It supports early literacy, language development, and imaginative play—all while encouraging quality time between children and their parents or carers.
Over the six week course we will be following the story of the very hungry caterpillar by Eric Carle
Parents will be expected to actively join in the session to encourage your child's full participation.
This session is suitable for children 3 to 11 years and due to health and safety is restricted to two children per adult.
What's this course about?
During this family session, find out more about how children learn at school, and how using Storysacks can make reading fun and bring books to life.
Who is the course for?
Parents/carers of Reception and KS1 children from Essex. Children are encouraged at these sessions.
What can I expect to learn?
You will learn how storysacks are used to make reading fun.
How will I learn?
A tutor will guide you to create your own storysack together to use at the session and at home.
How will I know how well I am doing?
You will be given tutor feedback at the end of each task. The tutor will work with you to help you to think about your progress and decide on points where you may need more practice.
Will I have to do any work at home?
Generally, there is no requirement for any work at home, but you may want to practice skills learnt.
What will I need to provide?
All resources will be provided for you.
