Unlock your creativity and delve into the world of surface textures where you will explore a broad range of materials using techniques to create unique artworks. Delve into various techniques and materials to create visually and tactilely rich artworks.

Who is this course for?
For anyone with a passion for art and eager to explorenew mediums to create unique original artworks. No prior experience is necessary just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to learn!

What can I expect to learn?
You will learn a range of techniques, that combine the different aspects of fine arts with craft. You will be encouraged to explore a broad range of materials that may include paper, fabric, print, recycled plastics and household materials and much more besides. Techniques will be developed from traditional to experimental with a focus on creating tactile decorative surfaces that move beyond 2 dimensions. Your tutor will contact you with details of what you will need to bring prior to course start, but costs will be kept to a minimum and the recycling and repurposing of old household materials will be encouraged.

How will I know how I am progressing?
You will negotiate your objectives with the tutor at the start of the course and these will be reviewed regularly. Your tutor will provide developmental feedbackand you will be encouraged to critique your own and your peers work throughout the course to ensure you get the most from your learning with ACL.

Will I have any homework?
You will be encouraged to practise techniques at home.

What will I need to provide?
Your tutor will advise you prior to the first session what you need to provide. The costs will depend on the project chosen.
