Description
Effective communication is the foundation of a healthy parent-child relationship. In this 2 hour workshop, parents and caregivers will learn the skills needed to communicate with their children in a constructive and encouraging way. This course emphasizes the importance of using positive language, avoiding harmful labels, and fostering open dialogue that supports a child's emotional development. By understanding how words can shape a child's self-perception and behaviour, participants will gain tools to nurture a more trusting and connected relationship with their child.

Parents/carers and grandparents of school aged children living in Essex.

Tips and strategies on making parenting as stress free as possible.
How will I learn?
The sessions will be facilitated by the tutor in an informal and relaxed environment.
How will I know how well I am doing?
You will be given tutor feedback at the end of each task. The tutor will work with you to support you with any individual issues that you may be experiencing.
Will I have to do any work at home?
There will be tasks set to do with your child and then to report back to your tutor.
What will I need to provide?
A pen and paper.
