Description
We are offering a 12-week course on working in schools for adults aged 19+ who are unemployed, employed, self-employed, or seeking a career change. The course provides support with interview opportunities with education employers. You will develop understanding of supporting teaching and learning in schools.

To support and develop the knowledge required to work in a school, Supporting Teaching and Learning in classrooms.
Learning outcomes:
By the end of the course learners will be able to:
• Understand the requirements of the course
• Understand child and young person development
• Understand how to support the safeguarding of children and young people
• Understand & promote well-being and development of children & young people including those with SEND
• Understand how to promote effective communication within job role
• Understand how to build effective relationships with others within the job role
• Engage in own personal development through reflective practice
• Promote equality, diversity and inclusion within schools

Who is this course for?
This course is ideal for individuals currently working or seeking employment in a school including suporting teaching and learning in classrooms.

How will I learn?
You will attend online workshops each Tuesday for 10 weeks. Sessions will be delivered via ACL Teams
During the course you will complete coursework, reflection tasks and final presentation
What will I need for the course?
Learners will need access to a laptop/PC with MS Office software. A webcam will be required and headset with a microphone to enable you to participate with online aspects of the course. If you do not have access to this equipment, please contact us to discuss.
What can I do next?
Upon completion of this Skills Bootcamp, learners could consider progressing onto the Support Work in schools apprenticeship or vocational diploma at ACL if employed/volunteering within a school .
